30 years of experience
After apprenticing for a short time out of high school, Rob decided to head to horseshoeing school. He attended the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School. After he graduated from school, he started his own business. He had the opportunity to shoe for some of the top farriers in California. He learned many disciplines and styles of shoeing and continued his education through clinics and apprenticeship. The exposure he gained from those experiences helped shape his business into the success it is today. Along the way Rob was married to his sweetheart Tricia and they had six great kids together. Horse's are Rob's passion, and he strives to help improve every horse he works on.
ABOUT Greenwood Horseshoeing and Forge
Greenwood horseshoeing is going strong after 30 years of business, but another aspect of Rob's work are his forging and blacksmithing skills. He makes incredible knives, tools, and other fun projects. He hand forges every knife, hand makes each handle, and custom makes each sheath including hand stitching the edges. Each piece is truly a work of art, and a unique piece of pride for each owner.
